Two new ambulances and a medical team are on standby for the duration of the budget debate.

A Partnership for National Unity parliamentarian Vanessa Kissoon was Wednesday evening taken to the GPHC after falling ill during budget debate.

Kissoon, a `Region 10 representative, was assisted from the parliament chambers by colleague MP Dr. George Norton around 6.15 PM.

She was seen by members of the medical team on standby at the Public Buildings before she was transported to the GPHC.

No details have been released so far by the APNU.

During last year’s budget debate another APNU MP, Richard Allen, had fallen ill and collapsed during a sitting and was eventually replaced by Renita Williams.
