A North Ruimveldt man was jailed for four years and fined more than three times the value of marijuana that was found in a hole of the wall of his home.

The convict is 38-year old Jeremy Stuffle of 3048 North Ruimveldt, Georgetown. His girlfriend, Marcia James, was freed as the case against her was discharged.

Stuffle was fined GUY$544,500- three times the value of the 605 grammes of marijuana that was found at his home on January 21. Police had charged the duo with being in possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

Stuffle and James were not represented by a lawyer.

Acting on a tip-off, the marijuana was found in ziplock bags in a hole in the kitchen wall. The Prosecutor, Dinero James told the court that Stuffle had admitted to police at the time of the find that the marijuana had belonged to him. James had remained silent.
