WANTED: Anthony Lloyd Neville Morrison

A Jamaican man is wanted in connection with the discovery of the body his fellow countrywoman in a city hotel early Wednesday morning.

Police said they were looking for 36-year old Anthony Lloyd Neville Morrison for questioning in relation to the death of Beverley Anesta Gardner.

Her body was found in a room at the New York Car Wash & Hotel, Camp and Princess Streets, Georgetown. There were no visible marks of violence and so police are relying on an autopsy to determine Gardner’s cause of death.

Morrison and Gardener’s Jamaican passports were found in the room by investigators.

Asked what immigration records have shown, Deputy Police Commissioner Seelall Persaud told Demerara Waves Online News that “unless he left illegally, he is still here.”

Police asked anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Morrison, a medium built man of African descent, to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 226-7065, 227-1149, 911 or the nearest police station.

“All information will be treated with strict confidence,” the police force assured.
