UPDATE: Pregnant woman seriously injured in Ogle plane crash

A woman five months pregnant was seriously injured when a Cessna 206 aircraft crashed on take-off Saturday morning at the Ogle International Airport.

She has been identified as Tamika Munroe, 23, of Cane Grove, East Coast Demerara. She was a passenger on the aircraft. The other passengers were Z. Ally (female) and R. Perreira (male).

Demerara Waves Online News was told that the woman suffered spinal cord injuries and was being reviewed by gynecologists at the Georgetown Public Hospital. She is said to be conscious.

The plane, which is owned by Fenix Airways, was being piloted by Rawle Seecharran who also sustained minor injuries.

 The aircraft, which carries registration number 8R-MML, was destined for Kato.
