Retired Asst. Chief Education Officer dies

Retired Assistant Chief Education Officer, Maude Bullen-Mc Kenzie and then leader of the Peoples National Congress Reform (PNCR), Robert Corbin

Retired Assistant Chief Education Officer, Maude Bullen-Mc Kenzie died on Saturday at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) after a period of illness.

She was 69.

A source said Bullen-Mc Kenzie, a diabetic, suffered kidney failure and was not responding to dialysis at two hospitals because of a clot that was discovered by doctors to late.

She succumbed at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Bullen-Mc Kenzie at one time served on the University of Guyana Council.
