A man who allegedly stole a number of items from the Roman Catholic Church was Thursday arraigned on a charge of breaking and entering with larceny.

Push cart vendor Richard Ramcharan of 205 Field ‘D’ Sophia pleaded not guilty to the charge when he appeared before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.

He was refused bail and ordered to return to court on December 19.

Police alleged that Ramcharan stole a quantity of items and other valuables totalling GUY$895,000. The items were stored in a bond on Croal Street that belongs to the church.
