A Brazilian man was killed while working at a money transfer and gold trading and mining equipment store in Mahdia, sources said.

Police identified the dead man as 46-year old Danderlei Kienen of Light Street, Georgetown.

Investigators said an undisclosed quantity of cash and gold were stolen from the business enterprise at 111 Miles, Mahdia.

The suspected mastermind was caught several hours in a mining camp.

Two other perpetrators have escaped but investigators say they know who they are looking for because the ordeal was captured by surveillance cameras and recorded.

Sources said shots were fired but his throat was slit and he was stabbed two times to his stomach.
