Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee was Thursday night hospitalised at the Woodlands Hospital, sources confirmed.
His medical status was not immediately confirmed but he was in a private room and a close family member was said to be with him.
Rohee’s hospitalization comes even as the government side was later Thursday night expected to vote on the Anti Money Laundering and Countering of Financing Terrorism (Amendments) Bill.
A government minister would only say that Rohee was “undergoing some medical tests.” The minister did not elaborate on Rohee’s condition.
Rohee is also the General Secretary of the governing Peoples Progressive Party (PPP).
