Minibus conductor dies, several hurt in collision

A minibus conductor was Tuesday night killed and 11 others injured when the vehicle he was working on collided with a car in Georgetown.

He was identified as Gavin De Ali, 22, of Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Brickdam and Louisa Row.

Eyewitnesses said a car “jumped” Brickdam and slammed into a Route 48 bus.

The names of the injured, who were treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital and sent away, are:
