Police are again searching for former South American beauty queen, Carolan Lynch, who is wanted for the alleged murder of her husband several years ago, after she resurfaced.

Up to recently, she was occasionally employed at an eco-tourism resort.

The Chambers of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Tuesday confirmed that an arrest warrant was still out for Lynch who is accused of killing Farouk Razac in May 2007.

Razac, a wealthy director of Swiss House Cambio, was found on the floor of their Eping Avenue home with blood oozing through his ears and mouth. An autopsy revealed that he had been strangled

Head of the Roraima Group of Companies, Gerry Gouveia confirmed that Lynch had been working with his company on contract – whenever she was required- for about one month now. She had been assigned to Arrowpoint Nature Resort on the outskirts of the west bank of the Demerara River. “We use on her contract. We are just helping out,” said Gouveia about the mother of a 14-year old daughter.

Gouveia said Lynch told management that the High Court had quashed the murder charge. Against the background that Lynch was still wanted, Gouveia said his company would sever all ties with the woman.

Deputy Police Commissioner, Seelall Persaud on Thursday confirmed that steps would be taken to re-arrest Lynch. A wanted bulletin was expected to be issued again.

Then Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys in late December 2007 had freed Lynch of the murder charge but by October 2010 police had instituted a fresh charge. Prior to the new charge, Lynch had been re-arrested almost immediately after her release in 2007. She was later released after the High Court had deemed her re-incarceration unconstitutional.
